While I'm in a posting mood, I might as well add that I've now seen The Two Towers twice and it kicks major ass. Why are you still reading this? If you haven't seen it yet, go now! If you've already seen it, go again!

Just Another Ranty Thing

Went to see Jackass on Thursday. I think I was laughing harder than anyone else in the theater, but I don't care. It was hilarious! Everyone go right now, but maybe don't eat anything before going. It might be better to go see it on an empty stomach.

Speaking of movies, it's less than a week until I get to go see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! I can't wait! It's going to be so good!

---

I am very sad. My mother refuses to buy the special edition Lord of the Rings DVD set. "Didn't I buy you that in August?" she asked. Yes, but this one has a half hour of deleted scenes. "So what?" Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhh!! So what?! Oh, it hurts me. It really does.

---

I'm currently reading Stephen King's It right now. People keep coming up to me and telling me how scary it is. I'm now on page 624 and I'm not losing any sleep. I can honestly say that the only time Mr. Scare-Master himself ever actually scared with with one of his books was when I read The Stand a few years ago. I caught a cold while I was reading it and I was paranoid as hell. Bring on the scariness, Mr. King!

---

Went shopping yesterday. Bought [livejournal.com profile] ladybeth her Christmas present yesterday. I really think she'll like it.

---

One last thing: I got my report card back finally. Four A's and four B's. I'm not happy, even if I did get a perfect grade in physics and all of my B's were high B's. *sighs*

Spider-Man! And I Spy

Okay.... I did not get to see I Spy on Saturday. I called the movie theater and I distinctly heard the annoying recorded message say that the movie started at 3:15. It started at 2:15. There was an upside, though. I got to practice at the race car game in the lobby. I still suck, but not as much.

---

I got Spider-Man! I went through every single one of the bonus features on Sunday and watched the movie with my sister last night. Mom refused to watch it because its the wide-screen version and she hates that and I didn't want to watch it with Dad because he was acting like a complete ass yesterday.

Eeeek! They interviewed Kevin Smith! Hurray!

---

Order of the Phoenix is done! Hurry up and publish it already! I just realized that I just used more exclamation points that any sane person should.

PSATs

Took my PSAT today. I think I did very well on the verbal and writing sections, but totally screwed myself over in the math section. Won't find out 'til December, so that sucks.

Was very annoyed while taking PSAT because I had the stupid theme song from Firefly stuck in my head and I could only remember two lines from it, so they kept playing over and over in my head.

---

I'm so lazy. I have five thousand and one brilliant fic ideas rolling around in my head and I'm not doing anything with any of them. Someone please threaten to beat me up and hold my family at gunpoint if I don't write anything soon.

Bunch Of Random Junk

Went out shopping the other day and bought Artemis Fowl. Hurray, my own personal copy. So happy! It's only paperback, though. I wanted a hardcover edition, but they didn't have any. Oh well. And I stopped into the comic book store and bought three Gundam Wing comics I've not been able to find after ages of searching for them. I also bought Hackers on DVD at the music place whose name I can't remember just now. Only $10. I stood in the store for twenty minutes trying to choose between Hackers, A Life Less Ordinary, and Lock, Stock, And Two Smoking Barrels. I think the only reason I bought Hackers is because it was the cheapest. Oh well, at least I know what I'll be buying with my Christmas money.

I'm officially the happiest person in the world. Yesterday in Art Club I was told I have a wicked laugh by a complete stranger.

I nearly had a panic attack today. I thought I had lost half of my CD collection at school. Of course, stupid me, I forgot that I took them out of my bag last night and neglected to put them back.

I need a new muse. Anyone want the job? My current one abandons me for weeks and then comes along with her big-ass wand o' inspiration and knocks me upside the head with it.

Just Stuff About School

First period, TV Production, was just awful. We switch jobs every two weeks so after the switch nobody knows what they're doing. We have two complete morons working the cameras, the two directors can't agree on anything, all of the computers are being bitches and won't work, and to top it all off, it's the teacher's first year so she has no idea what she is doing either.

Second period, more graphing. I hate graphing. Stupid waste of time. Got to play with the graphing calculators, so that was a plus.

Third period, painting an Orc with watercolors. It's a closeup, so it looks really nasty. I love it.

Fourth period, light bulbs again. At this point I'm ready to shun electricity and go back to candles.

Lunch was just fine until they started blaring swing music so loudly that we couldn't hear the bell ring and we were all late for class. Stupid swing day. I hate school spirit week.

Fifth period, American Literature. I hate the teacher with a passion. She's the most dull person on the face of the planet and to make things worse, Andrew was absent today, so I couldn't ask him what he thinks about The Eyes Of The Dragon so far. Great book, by the way. I recommend it to anyone and everyone. In case you didn't know, it's by Stephen King.

Sixth period. . . I don't remember. Too boring. It was American History. That's about it.

Seventh period, my acting class. This is the most fun I have ever had at school. Yes, the teacher makes us do silly things, but it's fun. Just as long as I don't have to dance again. That was bad.

Eighth period, French. . . Um. . . It was French? French = naptime in Janna's world, I'm afraid. Doesn't matter, I still get A's.

Got home, did nothing a bit, went out to dinner with the family, came home, did a bit more nothing, updated LJ, and am now planning to further corrupt my little sister by letting her watch Clerks with me. I'm such an evil bitch.

Oh, and one more thing: I have yet to even start my math homework. Ooops. Oh well. There's always tomorrow morning, or I could just not sleep, as usual. Night peoples.

Last night I was sitting in my living room in the chair that sinks so much it feels like it will swallow you whole, and this popped into my head:

I don't hate the boy. It's just. . . his eyes. . . they're just like his mother's. When she died, a piece of me died as well. When I look at him, she's looking back, and that dead place inside gets a little bigger each time. No, I don't hate him. I just hate that he's not mine. I think of things gone by and things that could have been. . . and I weep.

Despite my reading the HP books several times each, I just can't think of Snape as an evil, soulless bastard. I've just read too much fanfiction, I guess.

This Is Bad.....

Nooooooooooooo! Spike cannot be another Drusilla! No, no, no, bad, bad, bad! Regardless of the crazy part, he looks adorable with curly hair! Xander was looking pretty good too. Anya looked like shit. Gee, can you tell I hate Anya?

Buffy tonight! I can't wait! Only a few more hours! Now I just have to convince dad to give up the TV for an hour. Oh, this is going to be fun.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Bilbo and Frodo! Woohoo!

In other news, I watched a movie called The Dreamlife Of Angels last night. I don't know why I watched it. Subtitles just seem to call out to me, I guess.

TV Stuff

Watched Firefly and John Doe last night. Both were really good, but Firefly wasn't exactly what I expected. It was still good, though.

Am getting very impatient waiting for Buffy and Angel.

Oh, and Family Affair really sucks.

Ouch!

I really screwed up my neck in Acting Thru Improv. We were practicing tumbles and guess who landed on their neck. I saw stars. I'm not joking.

On a lighter note, I'm about 2/3 of the way through A Density Of Souls and I'm really enjoying it. The author's not as good as his mother, of course, but I think he has a good career ahead of him.

Woohoo! Firefly is on tonight. I can't wait!

Geek Pride!

I spent four hours at Barnes and Noble yesterday. It was great. Books are my friends. There are too many to choose from and so little money for me to spend. I walked around for at least an hour, picking up things and then putting them back. I finally decided on Chrisopher Rice's A Density of Souls. Its really rather good so far.

I just spent $20 on Buffy and Lord of the Rings cards. If my mom finds out she'll kill me. She thinks I'm the biggest loser on the planet because I watch anime("You're watching cartoons?! At your age!"), collect comic books(manga actually), and am in love with the Harry Potter books. Thats okay. Its probably true. I am proud of my geekdom. It makes me who I am.

Boo!

Happy Friday the 13th, everybody! I hope everyone else's was as nice as mine.

In other news, I just watched Pleasantville on TNT. I love that movie. Tobey's so adorable.

Am now watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. Another favorite of mine. Every once in a while I just need to watch it. I know all of the words by heart. Sad, isn't it?

Oh, question for anyone who watched Family Affair last night just to see the HP clip: Were you scared/upset about Lucius?

Okay, I'm done. Bye!

Aw, How Cute!

A few days ago in my American Literature class we were learning about the Salem Witch trials and some kid raised his hand and asked if witches were real. The teacher gave him this sort of look like "Aw, isn't he sweet" and told him that witches do not exist. At the end of class my friend Andrew, who happens to be a Wiccan, and I told her that witches are quite real.

"So you two believe in witches?"

"We don't believe in them, we know some of them."

"Oh, so they believe they're witches?"

I wanted to hurt her. She was treating us like first graders. Andrew, needless to say, was quite pissed off himself. Some people don't seem to understand that Wicca is a religion, not a weird cult or something. I'm friends with more Wiccans then I am with people of any other religion. I felt like saying, "Aw, you believe in Jesus? How cute! You little Christians are so adorable with your faith and all! Want a lollipop?"

That felt good.

The Grapes Of God

This was an actual conversation in my Acting Through Improv class today:

"I've never eaten tomatoes."

"You've never eaten tomatoes!? Tomatoes are God's grapes. Wait. I don't know what I just said!"

I know too many weird people.
